Accessibility Statement

Coffee Uniting People is committed to digital accessibility. We hire people of all abilities — our website should welcome them too.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We design and build with accessibility considered from the start, not as an afterthought.

Specific measures we take

  • Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA (and aims for AAA on large text and headings).
  • All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable with visible focus rings.
  • Images include descriptive alt text for screen readers.
  • Form fields have visible, programmatically associated labels.
  • Heading order is sequential and meaningful.
  • We honor prefers-reduced-motion — animations are disabled for users who request reduced motion at the OS level.
  • A skip-to-main-content link is available at the top of every page.

Report a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please email greg@coffeeunitingpeople.org with the page URL and a description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and resolve within a reasonable timeframe.

In-person accessibility

All five CUP locations have step-free access. Service animals are welcome. If you have specific accommodations to request before your visit, please call (813) 400-1110.
